Do you file the application for me?

No. Niklo prepares and checks your file; you enter it on the Home Office's online system, pay the fee and attend the VFS Global appointment yourself. We give you step-by-step guidance for each of those.

Is there a minimum bank balance?

No. The Home Office looks for money that is genuinely yours, has been in the account for a while and matches your declared income. Six months of statements from the account your salary is paid into is the evidence that works; a large deposit shortly before applying is the evidence that fails.

What if I was refused before?

Declare it on the form, from any country and however old. An undeclared refusal is treated as deception. A declared one with a short honest explanation of what has changed is survivable, and Niklo's review checks your explanation against the rest of your file.

How long does the decision take?

Usually around three weeks after your biometrics appointment, longer in summer and before the winter holidays. You can apply up to three months before you travel, so apply early and never before every document is in hand.

Can Niklo guarantee a visa?

No one can. The decision is the Home Office's. What Niklo does is make sure the file it is decided on is complete, consistent and honest, which is what separates the applications that are approved from the two in five from Pakistan that are refused.

About this visa

The Standard Visitor visa covers tourism, visiting family or friends, weddings and funerals, business meetings and conferences, and short courses of up to six months. It is the most commonly refused UK route for Pakistani applicants, and almost always for the same reason: the caseworker was not persuaded you would return.

The application is made online, followed by a biometrics appointment at a VFS Global centre in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi. There is no interview. The decision is made on your documents alone, which is why the file has to answer questions before they are asked. The Home Office's published standard is fifteen working days, and Islamabad has been running close to it. Summer and December push it to five weeks. A priority service exists, but it moves you up the queue; it does not change the assessment.
